Kramer X-3 wire-guided air-to-air missile (WW2)
Kramer Ruhrstahl X-4 - Deutsches Museum, Munich - 8 October 2002
The X-4 air-to-air missile was specifically developed for use with the Focke-Wulf Fw190 under project 8-344.
Propelled by a BMW 109-548 liquid-fuel rocket motor, the X-4 was manually controlled using a forerunner of the joystick.
Control signals were transmitted by wires which were spooled from two streamlined containers on the cruciform wings.
