The BMW803 was a 4000hp class liquid-cooled 28-cylinder radial engine. Development started in 1939, bench testing commenced in 1944. The engine was composed of two 14-cylinder elements that could be run independently, each driving its own propeller. Projected use included the Blohm & Voss BV P.200 flying boat as well as bomber and single seat fighter concepts. |
